Mode 7 is a rapper and writer from Los Angeles, California, taking hip hop to another level with his original style of clever but conscious game music inspired hip hop. Raised on a heavy diet of video games and west coast rap while growing up, Mode 7 now combines and reimagines his love of Super Metroid and Tupac into a unique sound all his own.

Mode 7's style covers a range of hip hop and subject matter. Emotion comes through strong in many ways on Mode 7's music, tackling subjects like love and heartbreak, mental health, inequality, and loss with his own irreverent, often comedic bars. Combined with Mode 7's extensive knowledge of video game history creates fun, fluid, and informative lyrics with a surprising amount of real world depth.

Beginning his musical career in 2022, Mode 7 has already released several EPs and mixtapes via the net label Game Music 4 All, with much more on the way. Writing video game rap ranging from popular titles like Zelda and Super Mario, to niche classics like Contra and Chrono Trigger.

Mode 7's remixes can be as diverse as techno and folk music and consist of both legendary and rare video game soundtracks.

Mode 7 aims to reach the full spectrum of music listeners with relatable and clever raps about perseverance, art, video games, loss, and dance. Along the way, Mode 7 hope's to shine a light on high quality game music, remxing well known soundstracks such as Pokemon and Super Mario, to deeper cuts like Tales of Phantasia and Nintendo World Cup.
